Robert Classen (1966 – ) Čovek renesanse / Renaissance Man

If Robert were to live in the Renaissance by any chance, he would surely be powerful and unattainable to many.  I don’t even know how many languages he speaks, even a few old ones: Greek and Old Slavic. That would surely rank him among the most respected people of his time. And if he works in the Renaissance what he does in the 21st century, he would undoubtedly rule many cities in Italy, as he would improve them and make them more powerful. As I understand, Robert saves businesses from collapse by altering their manufacturing process and management. If he had grown up in America, he would surely have been something like Lee Iacocca or Hewlitt and Packard. Then, we probably wouldn’t know him, and we would not have the opportunity to hang out and even visit Hilandar together. But we have the chance to help Robert because, as a non-Orthodox, he had trouble traveling to Athos. Basically, he is not a real non-Orthodox, because he is married to a Serb woman, and after visiting Hilandar, the  Guide from „Dobrocinstvo“ told him that he is a greater Orthodox person than many in our group. We had thought of writing a short book with Robert about Hilandar, but years had passed, and it seemed we had given up until Robert appeared with a short text in Serbian and Dutch. I believe we will be able to finish it started because writing for him in Serbian is probably just as difficult as writing for us in Dutch. The difference is that we never gave ourselves the right to learn languages, like Robert simply mastering them. Obviously, all these years, he overworked, and his little escape from reality pleases him. We also talked about possible retirement, which would not be in the real sense of the word, but winning freedom that would guarantee him further research and learning. It would be essential to waste his talent to work like any other when his entire movement and knowledge can only be compared to the Renaissance.
