The most valuable encounters are with ordinary people who are honestly doing their job on some part of the planet.Dinner at the Cape Kennedy Center, besides many cosmic excitement, brought me another earthly pleasure, a meeting with a colleague from the Beijing Laboratory, Shan Wang. I am not sure if the fight against doping in a sport, a similar family story, or my evocation of memories from Beijing has merge us together. Shan has one child, daughter, because of One child’s Chinese policy. She was surprised that I have only a daughter as well, in fact more that I have two granddaughters. He says that the policy of one child has been abolished because the Chinese society has become old. I remember the guide when she visited Beijing in 2006, who told us the story, that her parents sent her to grandmother and grandfather to inner parts of China not be punished because she had a brother, too. Since then, things have changed in China. China has become the first economic power from the developing country, and everything has accelerated. To my observation that Beijing is very large, because the hotel I was staying, although 15 kilometres from the center was advertised as if it was in the heart of Beijing. Shan only said that she lives in the fifth ring from the center and that she literally travels to work. All this has led to pollution, so in Beijing often the sun could not be seen because of smog. Shan says it’s a little better now. Even I do not like big cities like Beijing, I felt close to Shan, and somehow, thanks to her, I remembered everything from my traveling to Beijing. That’s why the stay at Cape Kennedy Center will not only be remembered by rockets, but also by the privileges that I could meet Shan.

Najvredniji su susreti sa ljudima, i to običnim ljudima koji pošteno rade svoj posao na nekom delu planete. Večera u Kejp Kenedi centru osim mnogo kosmičkih uzbuđenja donela mi je i jedno ovozemaljsko, susret sa koleginicom iz Pekinške laboratorije, Šan Wang. Ne znam da li nas je više spojila borba protiv dopinga u sportu, slična porodična priča, ili moje evociranje uspomena iz Pekinga. Šan ima jedno dete, ćerku, zbog kineske politike jednog deteta. Iznenađena je i da i ja imam samo ćerku, u stvari više činjenicom da imam i dve unuke. Kaže da je politika jednog deteta ukinuta, jer je Kinesko društvo postalo staro. Sećam se vodiča prilikom posete Pekingu 2006. godine koja nam je ispričala priču, da su je njeni roditelji poslali kod bake i dede u unutrašnjost da ne bi bili kažnjeni, jer je imala i brata. Od tada se u Kini mnogo stvari promenilo. Kina je od zemlje u razvoju postala prva ekonomska sila i sve se nekako ubrzalo. Na moje zapažanje da je Peking jako veliki, jer hotel u kome sam boravio iako je bio 15 km od centra reklamiran je kao da je srcu Pekinga, Šan je samo rekla da ona stanuje u petom prstenu od centra i da na posao doslovno putuje. Sve je to dovelo do zagađenja, pa se u Peking često od smoga ne vidi sunce. Šan kaže da je sada malo bolje. Meni se verovatno zbog tog sivila, veličine, velikog  broja automobila Peking nije svideo, ali osetio sam bliskost sa Šan  i nekako se zahvaljujući njoj romantično prisetio svega sa putovanja u Peking. Zbog toga boravak Kejp Kenedi centru neće ostao upamćen samo po raketama, već i privilegiji da sam mogao da upoznam Šin.
