Everyone loves someone in sports. I belong probably in the group of rare people that do not cheer for any club, because I’m cheering for sports. For that reason, those who keep the integrity of sports are the most important to me. Because of that among my heroes are not only athletes, but above all scientists. On just the completed conference of the United States Anti-Doping Agency, I met again many people who deserve my respect. Probably the first among them is Christiane Ayotte, whose enthusiasm never stops. Exactly, every time I saw Christian, she fought against doping so passionately, like some lioness. And not only against doped athletes, but also colleagues, and various experts who do not understand the essence of the problem and she is always descending from the podium as a winner. She often had to use to many words to enlighten ignorance  and that always reminds me of people around me who want to do something in sports, but not to learn anything. At the FIMS Sports Medicine Congress in 2010, she cried for the premature death of the director of the French laboratory, Jacques de Ceaurriz. Talking about the case of Floyd Lendis, she looked into the sky complaining that Jacques had not waited for Lendis to be convicted, because he had suffered a lot of humiliation in the court proceedings. Christiane is a true witness of time in the fight against doping in sport because she has succeeded in discovering many cheats and saving the spirit of sport. Someone who has enrolled at the Faculty of Chemistry at the age of 17, and who has been conducting an anti-doping laboratory in Montreal for almost 30 years, is a true sports legend for whom Nietzsche’s thought described the best: What does not kill us makes us stronger.

Svako voli nekoga u sportu. Ja spadam verovatno u retke koji ne navijaju ni za jedna klub, jer navijam za sport. Zbog toga su mi najvažniji oni koji čuvaju integritet sporta. Pa među moje junake ne spadaju samo sportisti, već pre svega naučnici. Na upravo završenom skupu Američke antidoping agencije ponovo sam sreo mnogo ljudi koji zaslužuju moje poštovanje. Verovatno prva među njima je Kristijan Ajot, čiji entuzijazam nikad ne posustaje.  Upravo tako, svaki put kada sam video Kristijan ona se borila protiv dopinga tako strastveno, kao neka lavica. I to ne smo protiv dopingovanih sportista, već i kolega, ali i raznih stručnjaka koji ne razumeju suštinu problema, uvek silazeći sa podijuma kao pobednica. Često je morala da upotrebi i po koju rečenicu više da bi objasnila stvar, a to me uvek podseća na ljude oko mene, koji žele da se bave sportom, ali ne i da uče. Na FIMS-ovom kongresu sportske medicine 2010. godine se i rasplakala zbog prerane smrti tadašnjeg direktora francuske laboratorije Žaka de Seariza.  Pričajući o slučaju Flojda Lendisa, pogledala je u nebo žaleći što Žak nije sačekao da Lendis bude osuđen, jer je pretrpeo mnogo poniženja u sudskom postupku. Kristijana je pravi svedok vremena u borbi prortiv dopinga u sportu, jer uspela da mnoge otkrije mnoge prevare i sačuva duh sporta.  Neko ko je sa 17 godina upisao hemijski fakultet, a ko skoro 30 godina vodi antidoping laboratoriju u Montrealu predstavlja istinsku sportsku legendu za koga važi možda najviše Ničeova misao Ono što nas ne ubije, čini nas jačim.
