Ispostavilo se da imam problem da fotografišem košarkaše,jer iako sam stalno oko njih, oni su u žurbi, ili nisu raspoloženi za slikanje. Neki ne shvataju šta će mi slika, ako ne želim selfi ili da se slikam sa njima. Bobija sam uhvatio u trenutku rastezanja pred polufinalnu utakmicu sa Rusima na Eurobasketu 2017. Izgledao je opušteno i baš lepo. Gledao sam momka koga sam prvi put pregledao sa 16 godina, kada je počinjao da igra za Hemofarm. Mislim da još uvek imam negde slike njegove i moje šake, kao i mog stopala manjeg za trećinu od njegovog. Tada je postojalo razloga za brigu, jer je njegov rast zahtevao posebna ispitivanje, ali eto danas on ne samo da je izrastao u gorostasa, već je neverovatno unapredio svoju tehniku i postao igrač koji rešava utakmice. Međutim, ono što mi je od početka upalo u oči je njegova blagost. Iako ga je stalno neko nešto podučavao, on je davao koševe, a ispadalo je da on ne razume kako ih daje. On je verovatno na taj omaložavajući pristup vremenom navikao. Međutim, meni se i danas čini da navodno prijateljsko lupkanje Bobija po glavi i kritikovanje postoji samo zato što je on toliki i drugačiji, jer da je to praksa i sa drugim košarkašima bi se tako postupalo.  A koliko je Bobi bio dobar košarkaš govori i činjenica da je posle Bogdana dao najviše koševa i bio najefikasniji košarkaš u našem timu na upravo završenom evropskom prvenstvu. Sećam se i kako su pisali o njemu pred prošli Eurobasket kada zbog povrede nije mogao da igra za nacionalni tim. Ni upola od toga nisam pročitao pred ovaj Eurobasket, kada čak sedmorica igrača zbog povreda nije mogla da igra, a eto Bobi je mogao. Danas čitam i odgovor njegove supruge na negativne komentare na razlici u njihovoj visini. Neverovatno je koliko smo mi negativan narod i dobro je da je Bobi otišao u Ameriku da igra u NBA. Tamo ga publika obožava i odnosi se prema njemu kao pravoj zvezdi. Idu dotle da rade sa njegovim likom hair tattoo. A on se njima za uzvrat pokazuje džinovsko srce svojim velikim rukama.

It seems that I have a problem to photograph basketball players, because although I’m constantly around them, they are in a hurry, or they are not in the mood for photo. Some do not understand why I need photo if I do not want selfie or take pictures with them. Bobby was caught in the moment of stretching before the semi-final match with the Russians at the Eurobasket 2017. He looked relaxed and very nice. I watched the guy I first looked at the age of 16, when he started playing for Hemofarm. I think I still have somewhere images of his and my hands, as well as my foot smaller for a third of his. Then there were reasons for concern, because his growth demanded a special examination, but today he not only grew up in the giant, but he incredibly improved his technique and became the player that solves the matches. However, what has come to me from the beginning is his gentleness. Although somebody was constantly teaching him something, he gave the baskets without problem, and it turned out that he did not understand how he was giving them. He is probably used to this tempting approach in time. However, it seems to me today that apparently friendship bugging Bobby’s head and criticism only exists because he is so big and different, because that is not the practice with other basketball players. And how much Bobby was a good basketball player is the fact that after Bogdan Bogdanovic he gave the most baskets and was the most effective basketball player in our team at the recently completed European Championship. I also remember how press wrote about him before the last Eurobasket when he could not play for the national team due to the injury. I did not read half of that criticism before this Eurobasket, when even seven players could not play because of injury, and Bobby could. Today I read his wife’s answer to negative comments on the difference in their height. It is incredible how much we are a negative people and it is good that Bobby went to America to play in NBA. The audience is cheering him as a real star. They’re going so far to do a hair tattoo with his image. And in turn, he shows them the giant heart with his big hands.
