About +tri

Plustri.com came after gift book written for all my friends who came to my 50th birthday. In order not to repeat myself I’ll take preface of the book.

This really is not self-centered book. Idea to take 50 pictures of my life and show them to you for my 50th birthday, first of all is a tribute to my mom. She died at 47 years and left me, as the people say “alone in this world.” I did not think much of her age, but it seemed to me that she was old. Then I turned 47 years old and found myself in the Himalayas. On the way to the Annapurna base camp, we passed the Peak with strange names Machapuchare. The story we learned is similar to the fairy tales we heard as a kids. The three British tried to climb in 1957. but something stopped them just 50 meters below the summit. There are different stories about their destinies, but since then no one was allowed to climb, because Machapuchare is holy place where souls of the dead Himalayan people reside. We don’t have the mountain of souls, but our souls live within us and as long as we live they have their Mountain. I thought then to write a book, because in the years of my mom I had an adrenaline adventure that it was deeply reminded me how many of life my mom missed. However, the book appears under the name plus three, mainly because I’m so much older than the mother, and because it took me a while to realize that in the fifties we are not old and thanks to the mom I am able to understand who I am and what I actually have done. To be honest – I think some things in life just now beginning. I do not like to talk about all the plans, but the fifties are definitely a turning point. Apparently this is called middle age, if it is counting that one life is hundred years long, which sounds interesting in itself. Because this is a book full of quotes, I think it is definitely not for a moment thought of Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull “Too Old To Rock ‘n’ Roll: Too Young To Die” but rather a celebration of life and spending time with loved ones.

Because of this book on home page is Machapuchare and myself sitting on the edge of the glacier in the Annapurna base camp.
